Highlights

Barsema Hall
Dennis and Stacey Barsema donated $20 Million dollars to build Barsema Hall. Opening Fall 2002 Barsema Hall will be the new home to NIU’s College of Business. The state-of-the-art facility will include lecture hall, cyber café expanded classroom facilities.

NIU Among Top Research Universities
NIU has recently gained national recognition for its outstanding programs. NIU has become a member of both the Universities Research Association, and The National association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges. Further recognizing NIU’s outstanding programs and research the Carnegie foundation granted NIU it’s Doctoral/Research- Extensive classificaiton, putting NIU among the nation’s top 5% of America’s universities.
