When the DeKalb School District absorbed the Malta School District there was talk of a windfall of State monies for the merger.  The windfall evidently never materialized.  Now the word is that the schools are bursting at the seams.  Building new schools or adding on to existing ones are in serious discussions.

Some of the ideas expressed are carrying a pretty hefty price tag - $50 million plus.

Where will the money come from?  A referendum?

Critics say the School District needs to consolidate some office space and convert them back into classrooms.  Many are nervous about shuffling students around from one school to another.

I would love to hear your input on this...

Have you read the FFAC report?  Have you been to the school board meetings participating in this process?  Obviously you haven't been to the High School during a passing time or lunch to witness the overcrowding.  Most importantly what is your solution?  I'm sure you don't have one.  It's easy to sit on the sidelines and say you're not going to pay for anything.  Where's your involvment?  Seems like ALL your concerned about is how much this is going to cost you.
