I know for a fact that the Hendersons were willing to let the building and parking lot go for $650,000.00, why is the City of Sycamore giving them $798,000.00. Do the citizens of Sycamore owe the Hendersons something or was this poor negotiation with taxpayer dollars. The concept is a good idea, but more dollars will be spent to bring this building up to code for public use and ADA requirements. Maybe the Mayor is going to donate the labor to keep the costs down. I believe over $2million dollars will be spent easily refurbishing the building. Sycamore has taken a big bite.
