DeKalb County Online offers banner advertising space to approved businesses. Banner advertising is sold on a per impression basis. Banner ads appear randomly near the top of each page. Advertisers are provided a login name and password to check the number of times their banner has been viewed and the number of times it has been clicked by visitors. The average banner advertiser receives a click-through rate of 32:1 (one click-through for every 32 impressions or banner views) on this site.
The rate for banner advertising is $65 for every 1000 banner views (impressions). On a normal full-run schedule an advertiser can expect to receive 10,000 impressions per year (at this time). Partial-run schedules are available, one week minimum. All advertising insertions must be paid in advance.
Banner ads submitted must be 468 pixels wide by 80 pixels tall. They must be no larger than 10k in file size. Animated banners must consist of no more than 5 frames. Our staff can design banners for you. Static (non-animated) banners are $35 each. Animated banners are $35 for set-up and $15 per frame.

In most sites, the highest number of page views are received on its welcome or index page. You should know how many page views the specific page you are placing your advertising banner receives. Most reputable web sites will provide you with tracking mechanisms.

This website monitoring tool is built into every Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator browser. You can access general traffic information about a site under Tools on the top toolbar of your browser. Under Tools, select Alexa Related Info.
