General Membership Meetings are held at Sophies Restaurant in Sycamore on the third Thursday of each month.  Cocktails begin at 6:30 PM.  A buffet dinner is served at 7PM.  The cost of the dinner is $16.

The Board of Directors meet at 5:30 PM on the third Thursday of each month at Sophies Restaurant.

The Events Committee meets at 5:30 PM on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at e-WorldLinx, Inc. office, located at 116-A West State Street in Sycamore.

Governmental Affairs

It seems everyone is talking about building and development these days. The problem is there are too many voicing negative opinions about growth in the communities. And they are getting their voices heard at city hall. Even worse, most of the naysayers are speaking uninformed. Take a look at a builder’s receipt for costs paid in a new home. See how many local people and businesses are impacted positively when a new home is built.

The DCBDA is taking a proactive approach towards reshaping public and government views toward the industry. But we need your help. Become active members. Attend a Governmental Affairs meeting.

Past DCBDA President, Ken Anderson, is the Chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month at the Palmer House, Elmer Larson LLC Headquarters, on Airport Road, about 1/4 mile south of the Airport Rd/Barber Greene Rd intersection.
